Clowning Sim is a children's novel published by Collins Dove, Melbourne in 1988. The novel was adapted as a television mini-series entitled Clowning around. Written by Tony Cavanagh and produced by Barron Films, it screened in 1992. The book was also published in 1993 by X-egem, Prague under the title Klaunnacestach.
Immediate source of acquisition:
The main body of David Martin Papers was acquired partly under the Taxation Incentives for the Arts Scheme and partly by outright purchase by the National Library in September 1983. Additional instalments were purchased over the period 1985-97. The papers document the long career of one of Australia's most prolific writers.
