Koninklijke Paketvaart-Maatschappij (KPM or Royal Packet Navigation Company) was a Dutch shipping company in operation from 1888 to 1966 in the Netherlands East Indies. During the second world war with Japan their ships assisted the Dutch, British and Australian war ships with the protection of Singapore and during the battle of the Java sea with the supply of ammunition. The line's routes included services to Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
