Content Summary:

Mainly correspondence, including between family members and of Curt's parents Felix and Gertrud Prerauer, including with Dr Richard Israel Marcuse, a Berlin-based consultant legal for Jewish people, and with London-based barrister Professor E.J. Cohn and other legal advisers, and the (Australian) Department of External Affairs.

Also contains some original documents regarding ownership of property in Germany (later Poland) and personal official documents relating to migration to Australia.

Immediate source of acquisition:
Marea Prerauer's nephew Alyn Tilleard donated the papers to the National Library of Australia in two instalments in 2006 and 2007. The National Library of Australia's Curator of Music Robyn Holmes and music historian Graeme Skinner packed the papers and undertook some arrangement and listing of the collection.
