Gaston de Roquemaurel (1804–1878) served as a lieutenant de vaisseau aboard the Astrolabe on Dumont d'Urville's final expedition. Cape Roquemaurel, on the Trinity Peninsula in Antarctica, is named in his honour. The folder contains details of his fiche matricule from the École Polytechnique (X 1823), catalogue details of three volumes of notes during his studies and a copy of Zanco, J.
