Manuscript describing M.E. Young's visit to Jenolan Caves, 1889 (14pp) and two notebooks in which she copied letters she wrote during the period Feb-Jun 1891. There is also a Queensland Kanaka Mission Hymn Book, 1903, inscribed: 'For dearest Maggie with loving birthday greetings from the compiler, July 1st 1903'. [Florence Young, her sister-in-law, was founder of the Mission] (See also box 10/folder 9)
Immediate source of acquisition:
The papers were acquired from Charis Young's Estate, which was administered by her nephew, Peter L. Young. His sister, Patricia Braga, and her husband Stuart oversaw their transfer to the National Library of Australia.
