The collection comprises a certificate of Discharge for William Bray, Boatswain on HMS Pembroke, 18 December 1758, signed by James Cook (Master); an account by William Bligh of embarkation of 11th Regiment troops at Yarmouth on 7 April 1790, [c.1800s]; a letter of Sir Thomas Brisbane, 21 October 1810; Printed sheet with lyrics for ballads 'The female transport' and 'Long parted have we been', [c.1820s?]; Notes by Charles Kingsley for a lecture on Australia, [c.1850s]; The News-Letter of Australasia, No. 5, November 1856; Miner's Right, Colony of Victoria, issued to H. Richards of Eurobin, 15 March 1896.
