Copies of letters sent from the Commissioners of Sick, Wounded and Prisoners to the Admiralty, British government agencies, and naval officers at Plymouth and Portsmouth, etc. on subjects such as provision of food and medical supplies for ships. The Series includes letter books relating to prisoners of war, 1796 to 1833, containing the letters sent to the Admiralty and other public offices, to the local agents and others, orders and warrants.
