Chief Secretary for Ireland 1812-18. Home Secretary in Liverpool Government Jan. 1822-April 1827. Home Secretary and Leader of House of Commons in Wellington Government Jan. 1828-Nov. 1830. Leader of Conservative Party 1834-46. Prime Minister and Chancellor of Exchequer Dec. 1834-April 1835. Prime Minister Aug. 1841-June 1846.
