Trade unionist. Co-author of Trade Unions in Malaya and Singapore (1948).
Frederick W Dalley (1885-1960?) was born in Stapleford, Nottinghamshire and attended Nottingham University. He entered the trade union movement and was originally associated with the railway trade unions, becoming editor of the Railway Service Journal and then the Transport and Salaried Staffs Association Journal. He was a member of the Labour Party National Executive and was a member of the advisory committee to the Secretary of State for the Colonies. He travelled widely on trade union and labour matters; in 1948 he and S S Awbery wrote a report for the Colonial Office. Trade Unions in Malaya and Singapore (C.O. 324) HMSO, 1948.
