Justices Sessions. Gaol and House of Correction: index to minutes of meetings and selected sections of minutes concerning transport of convicts to hulks and treatment of female convicts 1837.

C.T. Bowring Co Ltd: papers 1879 concerning purchase of New Zealand bonds.

Minutes (selected) 1889-1923 of the Liverpool Chamber of Commerce, referring to trade with the colonies, mail to East Indies and Australia, and a visit to Australia and New Zealand by Col. Hawkins.

Cash books, ledgers, accounts, balance sheets and letter-books 1837-1860 of Henry E. Symonds and his executors, concerning trade with Australian firms such as Younghusband and Co of Adelaide, and Creeth Hicks and Creeth of Melbourne.

Letters 1773-1782 to Mathew Gregson, mainly from David Samwell, surgeon on HMS Resolution during Capt. James Cook's third voyage to the Pacific. They describe preparations for sailing; disappointment at the small number of zoological specimens brought home; the visit to Otaheite, Sandwich Islands; and the non-existence of the Northwest Passage.

Accounts and ledger 1850-1869 of Henry T. Wilson; contract 1855 to John Pilkington and Wilson to convey mails to Australia; poster advertising White Star vessels for Melbourne. Wilson was part-owner of ships engaged on the Liverpool to Port Phillip run, including the Red Jacket.

Sir William B. Forwood journals: journal 1857-1858 of a voyage from Liverpool to Melbourne on the Red Jacket; journal 1858 of a voyage from Sydney to Valparaiso in the barque Queen of the Avon; copy of the first part of the journal of the Red Jacket voyage with meteorological observations and navigation details for the two voyages.

Letters 1814-1825 to William Roscoe from Thomas Rushton of Sydney and Sir James Smith of Norwich, the latter referring to the departure of Alexander Macleay to take up the position of Colonial Secretary of New South Wales.
