Papers 1843-1870 of Lord Clarendon, relating to his career as Lord Lieutenant. of Ireland, and Foreign Secretary.

Subjects include female Irish emigration, convicts, the 1848 rebellion in Ireland and transportation of W.S. O'Brien and other political prisoners, creation of Bishopric of Labuan, and the threatened United States annexation of Sandwich Islands.

Whig politician.
