Four manuscript contracts relating to the growing real estate portfolio of John Dight at Richmond on the Hawkesbury in the early 1800's. The contracts outline indenture arrangements, purchases and grants of land to Dight and gives insight into various other members of the Richmond community and their land holdings.
Dated Windsor, 5 June 1820. Manuscript in ink on sheet, 198 x 203 mm, signed by David Bell and two witnesses, docketed verso in manuscript, wove paper watermarked "Harris & McMur… 1814," original wax seal; dated Windsor, 5 June 1820; very good.
