Badges and pin backed buttons mostly donated to the collection by members of the public, including many collected in Adelaide by Mrs Fransine Brown (1904-1991) and her son, the Reverend Peter Brown (1936-2012). They relate to Australian charities, organisations, events, armed forces, public campaigns, patriotic causes and fundraising initiatives, and include badges or buttons commemorating specific events such as Australia's Commonwealth celebrations in June 1911, the 1918 Armistice, Anzac Day 1915, Navy Day 1918, and Empire Day 1946.
