This consignment comprises records relating to the kidnapping of Jacqueline Pascarl's two children by their father, a Malaysian prince, and her books on the topic. There are press clippings, assorted magazines, publications, legal documents and original galleys for Pascarl's book "Since I was a Princess", as well as galleys for Chris Allen's "Defender of the Faith", which Pascarl edited. There are papers relating to the TV documentary "Empty Arms - Broken Hearts" including articles, production budget, scripts, and correspondence. Other papers relate to Pascarl's work with other parents of abducted children personal papers, photographs and correspondence with her own children.
The bulk of the papers relate to Hill's published works, forming a comprehensive record of his literary career. There is research material, notebooks, manuscript and typescript drafts, galley and page proofs, correspondence and letters from readers. Major correspondents are Rosemary Creswell (Hill's agent), Max Harris and the numerous publishers with whom Hill dealt. The largest series in the collection relates to Manning Clark and consists of extensive newspaper cuttings, correspondence, drafts of articles and notes covering the controversy caused by Ryan's criticism in Quadrant (1993) of A History of Australia and Manning Clark as a historian generally, and claims by the Brisbane Courier Mail (1996) that Clark received an Order of Lenin medal during the Cold War.

Papers of Christopher Koch were accumlated over the course of his career. They comprise largely correspondence, drafts and proof of novels, travel ephemera, diaries, research notes, photographs, slides, notebooks, commentaries, radio transcripts, articles and clippings. Notable correspondents include Larry McMurtry, Jean-François Vernay, Vivian Smith, Les Murray, Roland Robinson, Ray Mathew, Douglas Stewart, Kenneth Slessor, Sophie Masson, Cynthia Blanche and William Hartmann. Stage and screenplay script adaptations for The year of living dangerously are complimented by production photographs, notes from literary agents, screenplay writers and directors such as Peter Weir. There are a number photographs and transparencies with portraits of Koch as well as a collection of black and white photographs relating to cameraman Neil Davis. Objects interfiled in the awards series include the Priestley Medal, the Tasmanian Government Arts Award, 2000 Fairlight Talking Book Awards and the Estonian Award.
