Collection of books, manuscripts and papers of C.J. Dennis and Hal Gye assembled by Harry Chaplin. They include typescripts and manuscript drafts of The Glugs of Gosh, notes by Gye on the frontispiece of Backblock ballads and later verses , an album of letters and photographs entitled 'Early life in Auburn and Laura' relating to Dennis' early life in South Australia, typescript poems by Dennis, an album of photographs and drawings of Dennis and Gye, letters of Dennis, and correspondence between Gye and Chaplin. There are also some notes by Hugh McCrae and letters of Sir John Monash, John Masefield, T. Inglis Moore, Dame Mary Gilmore and Olive Dennis.

A collection of letters relating broadly to Federation, addressed to Sir Walter James, together with one addressed to Cyril James, from the following: Edmund Barton (2); Henry Briggs (1); Alfred Deakin (19); Sir John Forrest (4); John Hannah Gordon (1); Sir John Waters Kirwan (1); Sir Richard Edward O'Connor (1); Sir George Foster Pearce (1); Sir Cornthwaite Hector Rason (1); Bernhard Ringrose Wise (2). The letters cover the period 8 March, 1897-29 May, 1913. Photostat copies. The originals are held by the Royal Historical Society of Victoria.

Jull, May '86; Diary kept while on a voyage round the world, 1884-1884. The detailed part of the diary extends from 18 June 1883-6 March 1884 and covers Jull's visits to Auckland and other parts of the North Island of New Zealand, the Friendly Islands, Tonga, Samoa and Fiji; Also included are about 80 photographs, annotated and identified. Vol II contains some newspaper cuttings about Queen Salote of Tonga.
