Those works with more substantial papers have been listed separately. Complementing this material is a large number of cuttings, mostly reviews, relating to these works.

The collection features Fay Zwicky's handwritten journals from 1975-2012; drafts of her writings including poetry and prose; professional and personal correspondence, 1950s-2000s, including letters of Glenda Adams, Robert Adamson, Alec Bolton, Lily Brett, David Brooks, Rosemary Dobson, Helen Garner, Gwen Harwood, Dorothy Hewett, A.D. Hope, Lily Kahan, Denise Levertov, Merv Lilley and Peter Taylor; photographs; publications, newspapers clippings and other printed material; research files and administrative papers.

Papers of Verity Burgmann, c. 1956-2022

Abstract Or Scope
This collection comprises recordings and papers compiled by political scientist Verity Burgmann. The recordings are of interviews (1970-1994), speeches, meetings and protests of far-left wing activists (1981-2019), conducted by Burgmann and others. Prominent activists interviewed include Frank Hardy, Tom Payne, Lloyd Ross and Mary Wright (87 sound/av carriers) There are papers relating to the Australian Society for the Study of Labour history. These records from the Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney branches are complimented by a run of the Melbourne branch's newsletter 'Recorder', from 1964-2021 (incomplete). Other papers relate to Burgmann's academic life (1982-2020) with two main portions dedicated to applications to the Australian Research Council and other research grant schemes, as well as conferences attended (1979-1989). Burgmann's, working papers for The People's history of Australia, co-edited with Jenny Lee, are made up of correspondence with contributors, publishers and supporters of the project along with financial papers, summary drafts, style guides and charts. There are Burgmann's examiner reports, manuscript assessment and supervision samples from her time at the University of Melbourne as well as special studies program applications.

The additions contain correspondence with Arndt's father, and papers relating to his research activities. There are working papers, conference papers and manuscripts of books. In articular, there are papers relating to Arndt's various activities at the Australian National University, such as the Australia-Japan Research Centre, the Indonesian Project and its activities, the Bulletin of Indonesian economic studies and the 'Survey of recent developments' in Indonesia, the ASEAN-Australia Joint Research Project, student projects, university meetings and Arndt's study leave and overseas trips.

MS Acc10.053 comprises papers that document Kerry White's career as a bibliographer, writer, judge of the Children's Book Council of Australia (CBCA) Children's Book of the Year Awards and member of the board of the Poetry Australia Foundation. They include correspondence; notes, working papers, drafts, manuscripts and proofs of the second and third volumes of Australian children's books: a bibliography, Australian children's fiction: the subject guide (1993) and Brilliant books list (The reading bug); "Bookphile" newsletters; Honours and Ph.D. theses; and CBCA judging papers. Authors represented in the correspondence include Marcie Muir, Ivan Southall, Colin Thiele, Christobel Mattingley and Bob Graham (16 boxes, 2 fol. boxes).

MS 6947 comprises drafts, correspondence and research notes, some relating to books by York: The Maltese in Australia (1986), Canberra: our Italian heritage (with Salvatore Gambale and Aldo Bongiorno, 1988), Josephine Zammit M.B.E.: a Maltese woman in Australia (1989), Student revolt: La Trobe University 1967 to 1973 (1989), Metropolitan ghettoes and ethnic concentrations (1990), Emmanuel Attard: from Gozo (Malta) to Gallipoli and Australia (1994), Empire and race: the Maltese in Australia 1881-1949 (1990), and, Our multicultural heritage 1788-1945: an annotated guide to the collections of the National Library of Australia (1995). Other papers include those relating to the campaign for the release of Bill O'Meally; the Ned Kelly centenary celebrations, 1980; Bob Hawke; Charles Darwin; general correspondence 1991-1996 as well as correspondence relating to the Centre for Immigration and Multicultural Studies, Research School of Social Sciences, Australian National University, 1986-1996; a copy of York's doctoral thesis on Maltese immigration in Australia; and one Eureka flag and flagpole.
