The collection comprises the leather bound diary of Thomas Davies' voyage from Plymouth to Port Adelaide on the "Lord Raglan", from 27 June 1854 to 25 October 1854. The diary is accompanied with a press cutting about Thomas Davies' son, Alfred Herbert Davies, published in a local newspaper 'The Recorder', Port Pirie, South Australia, Friday Morning, December 16, 1938.

This collection comprises the papers and memorabilia of Dutch World War II veterans who migrated to Australia. This material was collected by Edith van Loo as part of the Dutch War Veterans in Australia Oral History project. The bulk of the collection comprises papers of Dutch war veteran Paul Couvret. There are also papers of Dutch war veteran Jacobus Johannes (Jack) Dalmayer, together with other material collected during the project.

A collection of manuscript material relating to Captain Cook, his widow and his family. One letter, signed by James Cook, from the Resolution at Deptford, dated April 2, 1776, to the Commissioners of His Majesty's Navy asking for a supply of clothing to the ship. Nine letters to Mrs. F. McAllister, cousin of Captain Cook, including one from Elizabeth Cook, concerning Cook family affairs. Other letters of later date are those of John McAllister, Mrs. McAllister's son, who actively sought letters and relics of his famous cousin. Copy of letters from Cook to Sir Joseph Banks; Biographical note on Cook; newspaper cuttings concerning Cook, 1858-1926; extract from parish register relating to baptism of James Cook; Frances McAllister's Book of Common Prayer with inscription; Bronze medal in memory of Captain Cook: Letter from Phyllis Mander Jones to Rex Nan Kivell; Christies auction house catalogue.

Dr. John Keate concerning the bishopric, the visit of James Macarthur to England, Governor Sir Richard Bourke and personal matters. Two letters, 1836 and 1841, from Bishop Broughton to Rev. Edward Coleridge, concerning Church and personal matters. Also one letter, 1849, from Bishop G.A. Selwyn, Bishop of New Zealand, on board ship Undine at anchor, Anaiteum, to Dr. Keate. Handwritten transcripts by Vice-Admiral J.W. Durnford, also a Keate family tree from 1712.
