Eldridge was a short story writer and novelist. The collection comprises personal correspondence, financial papers, correspondence concerning the writing and publication of her various works, handwritten drafts, typescripts, copy-edit and page proofs, notes and research material, and book reviews.
The Watson papers comprise manuscripts, typescripts, cuttings, research material and correspondence relating to his biography of the Melbourne radical Brian Fitzpatrick, his book on Scots in Australia, Max Gillies scripts and speeches written by Watson for John Cain.
The collection documents Temby's legal career between 1972 and 1988 and reflects his diverse interests and activities. The papers include documentation relating to Temby's involvement in local government (as Councillor of the City of Subiaco 1982-83, and as ALP candidate for the Western Australia Legislative Assembly for the seat of Nedlands in 1981), the Legal Advice Bureau (founded by Temby, Senator Fred Chaney and Peter Dowding), Law Council of Australia (President 1983-84), Law Society of Western Australia (President 1982-83) and occasional tutor and lecturer in Law at the University of Western Australia.
MS 8127 comprises funeral memorabilia relating to Reverend Fred McKay including two videocassettes of the funeral and memorial services, and an invitation to the dedication of the Fred and Meg Peace Garden, 6 August 2000 (1 packet).The Acc01.068 instalment comprises correspondence, diaries, notebooks and files relating to people and organisations that McKay was involved with, including John Flynn, the R.A.A.F., Presbyterian Church and the Australian Inland Mission. There is some material relating to McKay's service as moderator-general. The collection also includes Uniting Church cuttings, drafts, photographs, tapes, videocassettes and objects (74 boxes, 2 fol. boxes, 3 poster rolls, 3 briefcases, 5 other boxes).
The records consist of literary drafts, files relating to productions, correspondence, financial statements, promotional material, theatre programs and papers relating to Tasman Theatre Foundation and the Australian National Playwrights Centre.
MS 9507 provides a comprehensive record of Julie Lewis' literary career. The bulk of the papers relate to her work as a biographer. For each book there is a mixture of typescripts, correspondence with publishers, research material, reviews, and papers concerning the launchings. Lewis was a thorough researcher and there are many letters relating to her research.
The papers fall into four categories. The first series consists of general correspondence relating to Cassab's artistic activities. There are letters from fellow artists, individuals responding to her Diaries, publishers, art galleries, portrait sitters, and from private and organisational owners of her art works. There are also postcards, receipts, invitations and transcripts of addresses.
