This collection comprises papers pertaining to Rowley's biographies: 'Christina Stead: A Biography (1994)', 'Richard Wright: The Life and Times (2001),' 'Tête-à-tête: The Lives and Loves of Simone de Beauvoir and Jean-Paul Sartre' (2005), 'Franklin and Eleanor: An Extraordinary Marriage' (2010). They include Rowley's correspondence with her subjects and those who knew them. In the first consignment the major correspondents are Edith Anderson, Leda and Stanley Burnshaw, Gwen Walker-Smith, Florence James, Jessie and Ettore Rella, Ruth Hall, David Stead, Ron Geering, Clifton Fadiman, Kate Llwellyn, Mary Bransten, Nadine Mendelson, Elizabeth Harrower, Gai Steel, Michael Bott, Margaret Harris, Michael Gold, Edith Anderson, Anne and Harry Bloom, Gilbert Stead, Fred Warburg, Oliver Stallybrass, Leah and Philip Harvey, and Aida Kotlarsky.In the second consignment of note is an original letter from Simone de Beauvoir, and original letters of Christina Stead. Other correspondents include Clem Christesen, Harper Lee, Simone de Beauvoir, Sylvie Le Bon de Beauvoir, William Vanden Heuvel, Constance Webb, Richard Wright, Barbara Baer, Oliver Stallybrass and Toril Moi, There are photographs, research files, transcripts and notes of interviews, manuscripts and papers for other work on topics such as 'The Hollywood Ten' and a copy of Rowley's thesis 'The Female Experience in the Autobiographies of Simone de Beauvoir and Violette Leduc'. Journals, diaries, notes and log books provide further insight into Rowley's research work conducted in Australia and overseas.

Abstract Or Scope
This collection comprises the personal papers of Robert (Robbie) Swan and documents his life and career as a radio producer, publisher, journalist and lobbyist for the adult entertainment industry. Swan was founding editor of Matilda magazine in the 1980s and became involved in the burgeoning adult entertainment industry in Canberra as lobbyist for the Adult Video Industry Association, consequently becoming involved in debates and campaigns around censorship. In 1992 he teamed up with partner, Fiona Patten, to form the Eros Foundation and later co-founded the Australian Sex Party (now the Reason Party).

The collection comprises photographic prints, negatives, publications and ephemera documenting the political, cultural and social life of Melbourne in the mid 1990s, with a focus on marginal groups and protest movements. These groups and movements include: biker groups; Vietnam Veterans, conflict between anti-immigration and anti-racism groups, and the female ordination movement. These photographs were taken while Janet Hawkins was completing four years of study at Photography Studies College in Melbourne.

This collection comprises volumes of poetry, note and recipe books, correspondence to and from Chris Woodland and music. Also various archived and miscellaneous material from the Wild Colonial Days Society (WCDS). There are issues of some WCDS N.S.W. branch journals (August 1967 - August 1968) and the 'Fossiker' March - August 1968). Papers include correspondence (bound), an address book, questionnaire and membership forms, the society's revised constitution, a members re-enactment report and note books with the handwritten meeting minutes. Newspaper clippings (some photocopied), photographs and ephemera highlight the society's activities, centenary events and historical re-enactments of The Capture of the Clarke Brothers, The Cobb and Co. run, The Shooting of Johnny Gilbert, The Bargo Bush murder, the Ben Hall gang and the shooting of Constable Nelson. The are numerous tickets and programmes to balls, dances and concerts with flyers, a felt banner and a typed film scripts with one titled 'HMS The Branch of justice'.

The collection comprises papers relating to the business and personal activities of Maldwyn Rees editor and compiler of The Welsh Australian - a magazine for the Welsh community in Australia, and his wife Blodwen. The Welsh Australian began publication in 1935 with articles and contributions solicited being drawn from correspondence within this collection. Maldwyn Rees' papers include material from various Welsh Australian churches and cultural activities of the welsh community. Rees served as the Sessions Clerk for the Welsh Presbyterian church for over thirty years during which time he was responsible for the publication of Y Ddolen - The Link. Rees resigned from this position in 1972. The original consignment contains papers relating to Woolfe's novel Leaning towards infinity: how my mother's apron unfolds into my life which was published by Vintage Australia in 1996. The book was later published in the United States, the United Kingdom and Holland. Leaning towards infinity was written over a period of several years and the papers comprise correspondence with publishers, editors and colleagues; research notes; early ideas, edited drafts and proofs.The novel evolved from a play of the same name, written by Woolfe and first performed in the United States in 1995. There are papers relating to the development of the script and to productions of the play in the United States, New Zealand and Australia.

The collection covers the period from 1999 to 2019 and includes: email correspondence between the founders and others involved in the early history of the program, transcripts of interviews with the founders, correspondence with government departments and overseas organisations, photographs of key events, funding applications and agreements, legal correspondence, awards, and other documents regarding the founding of the company. The collection also includes mental health materials relating to First Nations Australians. This includes: correspondence from the Department of Health and Ageing regarding programs for First Nations Australians at MHFA; press releases relating to MHFA courses for First Nations Australians; and proposals to the Commonwealth Government seeking funding to support First Nations Australians MHFA programs. The collection has been arranged by the donor in chronological order.
